Traffic was slow from Lowell Avenue on the westbound Interstate 210 freeway Saturday afternoon after a box truck caught fire.
The fire was reported after 1 p.m. on the freeway between La Tuna Canyon Road and Lowell Avenue, according to authorities. The truck, possibly from U-Haul, blocked the number one lane. Fire was observed under the hood of the truck, which eventually became fully engulfed, according to the California Highway Patrol.
There was no word on injuries. It was unclear what may have been inside the truck.
A tow truck arrived on scene to clear the truck to the right shoulder by 1:50 p.m. Traffic was moving more easily after 2 p.m.
