Tujunga Man Sentenced to Prison for Fatally Stabbing His Wife

SAN FERNANDO, CA — A Tujunga man was sentenced Wednesday to 21 years and four months in state prison for fatally stabbing his wife at their Tujunga home.
Henrik Avetyan, 56, pleaded no contest July 21 to voluntary manslaughter for the May 7, 2015, killing of his wife.
After stabbing 50-year-old Larisa Sarkisyan, Avetyan injured himself with the knife before a family member walked in and discovered the carnage, according to prosecutors.
