Volunteer for Foothill Clean Up Day Saturday

Clean up the neighborhood starting at Dunsmore Park on Saturday and hit the streets to pick up litter and plant California Poppies.

Join your neighbors and local leaders during Foothill Community Clean Up Day.

The volunteer event kicks off Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Dunsmore Park, 4700 Dunsmore Ave. La Crescenta. Breakfast and lunch will be offered. 

The event is sponsored by Glendale Neighborhood Services, the Committee for a Clean & Beautiful Glendale and the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Hundreds are expected to help clean the streets, spruce up areas at vacant lots and plant California Poppies. 

Volunteers can also enter the "Cigarette Butt Race" to compete for whoever can pick up the most cigarette butts for a prize.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes.  

Pre-registration is required at CleanUpGlendale.org

Locals must complete the event release form and bring it to the event for check-in.

A parent or guardian must sign the form if the participant is under 18. Community service credit will be provided.
