“This year’s event is particularly meaningful for C.A.R.L. because we have served dogs and families in Ventura County for three decades,” said Executive Director Sharon Clark. “We want to continue doing this in our community for the next 30 years and beyond.”
Proceeds from the Pooch Parade, C.A.R.L.’s largest annual fundraiser and community event, support the organization’s mission to advocate for animal welfare and work toward ending the needless deaths of companion animals through C.A.R.L.’s adoption, education, and outreach programs.

C.A.R.L. encourages attendees to wear creative beach attire and register to compete in several contest categories for imaginative costumes or fundraising. Vendor booths on-site will offer canine-related products and services, as well as crafts, food, and non-dog-related vendors. C.A.R.L. will bring adoptable dogs to the event.
Attendance is free, but you can join the Pooch Parade Pack Walk for a tax-deductible $50 fee, which covers one dog and two walkers. Sign up by September 1 to receive a free t-shirt for each walker. You can also register on the day of the event, but late registrations do not include a t-shirt. Questions? Reach out to Julie Freedman at julie.carldogs@gmail.com.
