Class of 2012: Community High School

Tonight is the graduation of the . It will be held at the auditorium of , stating at 6 p.m.

Local entrepreneur and black belt martial arts instructor Matthew Woodard will deliver the keynote address.

Roberto Pena, a member of the class of 2012, will address the graduating class.

This year's class of 45 graduating seniors is larger than average, according to office manager Eileen Bianchi.

"The largest class before this was two years ago when we had 42," she said.

The evening's highlight is the presentation of scholarships to eight seniors.

"All of the seniors are required to render 40 hours of community service," said Bianchi. "But these eight students went over and beyond that and will be getting medals and certificates."

Distinguished guests tonight include district superintendent Teresa Williams and representatives from the Rotary Club, American Legion and the Women's Fortnightly Club, among others, who will be handing over the scholarship certificates to the deserving graduates.
