Discover Fun at Discovery Day

Mine for gold or dig for fossils at Moorpark College's Child Development Center's semi-annual fundraiser Saturday.

The Child Development Center at Discovery Day will be packed with fun learning activities for children 2 to 10.

The semi-annual fundraiser helps spread the word about what the center does and services it provides and offers activities like pretend mining for gold and digging for fossils. Children can also experiment with a variety of doughs, weave fabric and even get in a bit of yoga. As well, the event will feature toymaker Gene West and have some special furry guests from the college's teaching zoo.

The Child Development Center offers a liscensed childcare program for children not just of students, faculty and staff, but of the community. Per the program's website, for a fee and as space permits, childcare can be arranged on a flexible schedule basis.
