Domestic Violence Suspect Shot And Killed By Simi Valley Police After Pursuit

An alleged domestic violence suspect was fatally shot by Simi Valley police after a high-speed pursuit ended with a crash on Tuesday afternoon.

At around 8:15 a.m., Simi Valley Police Department officers said in a news release they were called to the 2500 block of Dusan Street for a reported domestic violence incident. By the time police arrived at the scene, the suspect had already fled.

Officers said that based on their preliminary investigation, they determined there was probable cause to arrest the suspect, who has only been identified as a 37-year-old man, for domestic battery and elder abuse.
