Free Community Tai Chi Classes at the Miller YMCA

Free tai chi classes are now available to the community at the Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park. No YMCA membership is required.

Free tai chi classes are now available to the community at the Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park. No YMCA membership is required.

Tai chi is a gentle form of exercise based on ancient Chinese tradition. It improves both mental and physical wellbeing. Participants make a series of slow, focused movements while deeply breathing. Since it puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, tai chi is appropriate for all ages, especially older adults where other more strenuous exercises may not be an option.

Classes take place every Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. at the Miller Y (320 Via Las Brisas, Newbury Park). No need for reservations. Participants should where loose-fitting clothes. For more information, call 805-480-0309.
