A free, four-session mindful living class is being offered at the Simi Valley Family YMCA beginning September 16.

A four-session mindful living class is being offered at the Simi Valley Family YMCA beginning September 16. The classes are free to the community.
Mindful living is the ability to use knowledge, personal understanding and simple meditative techniques to foster peace, happiness and awareness in the present moment without judgement.
“By using the techniques taught in the classes, you are able to better focus on what really matters in life. That means better relationships, improved physical and mental health and increased energy,” says Mitch McManus, healthy living and sports director at the Simi Y.
Leading the sessions is Lindsay Leimbach who has over 23 years of experience teaching classes on mindful living, active awareness and integrity before schools, groups and businesses.
