Meet An “Amazing” Who Dances For Joy And Medals

Kay Ford, at 80, has 4 World Championship Ballroom winning titles to her name, and more to come, no doubt. Kay has been dancing most of her life. She attributes her youthful zest and energy to dance. She’s not retired – somehow Kay manages her ballroom practice and competitions around her “day job” as a nurse dealing with brain injury patients.

For Kay, much of the delight these days is that she’s competing with dancers 25 years (or more) younger than she is, yet as she says, age has little to do with it and that once you start dancing, just keep dancing for the sheer joy of it. Dancing is just too much fun for Kay to stop.
