Art Cornelius, at 80, holds the unusual distinction of having the bowling lanes at Pastimes Athletic Club in Syracuse, New York named after him. Art still works and bowls at Pastimes, as he has since he was 16. Art learned how to bowl from his fellow employees, all pin boys who got to bowl free as a perk of the job. What could have been just work or a fun hobby for some turned into a passion for Art.

He was inducted into the Syracuse Bowling Hall of Fame and finished fourth in singles (716 series) at an American Bowling Congress among many other individual titles and honors. He was the first lefthander to win the Herald Masters in 1967--holding that mark for a full 42 years.
