Meet An “Amazing” Whose Beauty Is Enduring

At top model at 90, Daphne has no plans to retire and fully expects to be working at 100.

Daphne Selfe, at 90, received the British Empire Medal in 2019 from Queen Elizabeth II for her services to “Women and Fashion.” Although she started modeling at 26 (in between being married and raising three children), Daphne only became a top model at 70 when she appeared in Vogue Magazine and was then signed on by a top modeling agency, Models 1.

Daphne is the world’s oldest professional model, constantly in demand, and by her very presence on the modeling scene, living proof that age is irrelevant to beauty and fashion. Daphne has no plans to retire and fully expects to be working at 100, fingers crossed! Her joy is to make others feel cheerful, and if her modeling inspires happiness, then she’s perfectly willing to keep doing it.
