Meet An “Amazing” Whose Dancin’ Feet Just Won’t Quit

James McManus, at 99, wowed all those attending the World Tango Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as he tangoed his way across the floor with his professional dance partner, Lucia Seva. James figured he didn’t have a chance of winning, but came for the experience of competing in this fantastic dance that he was smitten with since the first time he saw it – in his 80s. He decided he had to learn the dance and took lessons from then on assiduously.

This WWII Vet didn’t hesitate when he realized he could at least apply for the opportunity to tango in the championship. With the help of friends and a GoFundMe page, he was able to afford the airfare (he hadn’t flown in 20 years) and do what it took to compete. James, according to Lucia, was definitely the star at the ball.
