Meet An “Amazing” Whose Passion For Cuddling Is Invaluable
Joan Hart, at 81, has earned the title "Senior Cuddler" aka "Grandma Cuddler."

Joan Hart, at 81, has earned the title “Senior Cuddler” aka “Grandma Cuddler” for her 10 years of service in the neonatal intensive care unit at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. Actually, Joan was the very first official "Cuddler" at the hospital, receiving the brand-new training that now all volunteers wanting to be Cuddlers must undergo.
Having no children or grandchildren of her own, Joan is thrilled to have the opportunity to bring some tender loving care to these tiny munchkins who she considers her angels. Who would have thought that this senior staff administrator at IBM, upon retiring, would expand her already considerable volunteering efforts in hospitals to specializing in working with babies? But such it is, and cuddling, with all its tremendous benefits to critical care newborns, is truly her passion. Thank you, Joan!
