OMG...Prayer of the day! KeepMeSane!!

With our economy going berserk and everyone in High Anxiety mode I am beginning to take a long hard look at those around me. All those who "supposingly" have no money issues in their big expensive homes driving their gas guzzling vehicles are lying. Lying to themselves, their children, their neighbors/coworkers/community and mostly to their god. I know this because I was on their side of the fence not so long ago. Money was no issue at first but then all hell broke loose here in America as well as globally. Things had to be modified... Like my life! Outward appearances were still in place but I knew the bankbooks truths. And now? Reality has truly set in. My children have faced this reality along with me. Money tight as a noose around a convicts neck...we are ALL in the same crowded boat. Admit it...declare it and stop the lies and pretenses. It took awhile for me to see the true light of day..but it is so much more enlightening to face reality and to live it then to hide behind the lies. Our country, the richest one on the World, is hemorrhaging and we are barely applying a bandaid. We have people right here in our beautiful community who need food and can barely afford their humble shelters. We have people with no job prospects who truly WANT to work and yet the pretenses continue. Those who live in their expensive homes and drive their outrageous vehicles don't even see the desperation around because they are trying to stay above water and prevent drowning themselves. And the lies continue! Our elderly are forgotten on every account and don't even get me started on the disabled..wow. Congress would prefer to just create a huge pit and throw both genres into it and exterminate them all. I personally have experienced how dreadfully cold those in power have treated the elderly and disabled. How sad a statement this makes about our society! Countries like Japan, China and others hold those elders in high esteem. Native American societies believe the elders are the most vital factor in their societies and disabled...they are perceived as special in the eyes of their Creator. So why do we exclude, ridicule, seclude and basically try to forget these people in our society? Why is money held in higher esteem than our elders and all their gold in experiences? Why do we continue to use terms like disabled to further burden the existence of our people who have challenges instead of looking to them for enlightenment and courage? I look around me and all I can say is OMG...what a true travesty of justice What a sad society that truly needs to reevaluate its existence and its values. I am almost ready to head for the Hills and live with the wolves. I believe there justice will be true. And that society will be civil! Food for thought...eat up!
