• Moorpark Police Arrest Registered Sex Offender Brent Bischoff (edhat.com) — Moorpark deputies arrested registered sex offender Brent Bischoff after reports he approached juveniles with offers of work and vulgar comments at local shopping centers on Tierra Rejada Road and West Los Angeles Avenue. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information or prior contact with Bischoff to reach out to the Moorpark Police Department to aid the ongoing case.
   

• History-making baseball team to lead Country Days parade (mpacorn.com) — Moorpark's beloved Country Days Parade returns to High Street on Oct. 3, with the 1996 Moorpark Little League All-Stars and 2026 state champion Little Leaguers leading as grand marshals. Residents can enjoy a morning parade, afternoon street fair, and special High Street restaurant offerings, but should plan for early Saturday street closures and use designated parking near Walnut Canyon Elementary and the Metrolink station.
   

• When the mega spiders arrive (they're hay, phew), fall enjoyable has begun in Moorpark (fooshya.com) — Fall fun kicks off in Moorpark as Underwood Family Farms opens its Fall Harvest Festival from Sept. 26 through Oct. 31, featuring a huge pumpkin patch, hay "mega spiders," a corn stalk labyrinth, animals, and wagon rides. Weekday afternoons are recommended for lighter crowds, while themed weekends like Antique Tractor, Wild West, and All About Pumpkins offer extra attractions for local families.
