• 'Come Together' for fall concerts (simivalleyacorn.com) — Moorpark College is hosting two 'Come Together' concerts on October 23 and 24 at the campus Performing Arts Center, showcasing 24 student musicians in eight bands. Each night features a different setlist chosen by the students, spanning rock, pop, metal, soul, and more, with tickets priced at $20 for adults and $10 for students.
   

• Southern California's 5 most popular pumpkin patches start opening this week (secretlosangeles.com) — Underwood Family Farms is bringing its popular Fall Harvest Festival back to Moorpark starting September 26, with timed weekend admission and online reservations. Local families can enjoy hayrides, themed weekends, and a full day of pumpkin-season activities right in town, alongside several other notable pumpkin patches opening across Southern California this fall.
   

• Council rejects new fireworks penalties (simivalleyacorn.com) — Moorpark residents may soon see a new fireworks host-liability ordinance, as city officials and the Ventura County Sheriff's Office drafted a proposal now under legal review. While Simi Valley just rejected similar civil penalties, the Grand Jury continues urging Moorpark and other nearby cities to hold property owners accountable for illegal fireworks and related fire risks.
