PODS of Wisconsin lends a helping hand during the holidays

PODS of Wisconsin steps in to help the community throughout the holidays by donating PODS containers to support local gift drives and events. The containers are used as a collection point to store donations, and also utilized as Santa’s workshop to bring holiday cheer to children in the community.

PODS containers were delivered and donated to two Toys for Tots drives throughout Wisconsin. PODS local efforts have been supporting national PODS Toys for Tots programs since 2009. In the 68 years since the Toys for Tots program began, the Marines have distributed more than 494 million toys for 230 million less fortunate children across the United States who might not otherwise receive anything during the holiday season.

In addition, a PODS container was donated to HALO’s (Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization) Santa’s Village for their Adopt-a-Family holiday program which is affiliated with Racine County Homeless Shelter and Food Bank. HALO’s annual program brings the compassion of the community together with wish lists from Racine County families in need.

“We’re more than happy to donate containers across Wisconsin so support any charity or holiday event,” says PODS of Wisconsin manager, John Hudson. “We believe in giving back to the community and are proud to support the events and charity drives by providing our moving and storage logistics for these deserving children.”

The PODS container at HALO’s was transformed into Santa’s Village command center. Children in the community are able to visit Santa’s workshop, and make their holiday season a little brighter.
