Schools Honor Moorpark Scholars

Four of Moorpark's students studying at out-of-town colleges have made their schools' honor or deans lists for the 2011 fall semester.

Ashley Millhouse was among the more than 1,800 students at Winston Salem, NC's Wake Forest University who made the fall dean's list. Students who achieve a 3.4 grade point average, with no grade below a C, were named to the list.

Lena Oppon, a senior nursing major at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO was named to the school's honor's list. Honor roll students must earn between a 3.2 and 3.49 grade point average while enrolled in a minimum of 12 units. Culver-Stockton is a private, liberal arts college.

Erik Swanson made the Gettysburg College dean's commendation list by earning a grade point average of 3.33 or higher at the Gettysburg, PA school.

Kayla Ueshiro, a senior College of Arts and Science student at Creighton University, joined students who earned a 3.5 or higher grade point average to make the Omaha, NE school's dean's honor roll.
