The Workforce Development Board (WDB) of Ventura County announced the addition of two new board members and the reappointment of three current members. The Ventura County Board of Supervisors made the appointments official at its November 3 meeting.
The new board members are Byron Lindros and Captain Douglas King.

Active in WDB manufacturing sector work for two years, he currently chairs the WDB Manufacturing Roundtable of Ventura County. “I’ve been involved with National Manufacturing Day each October when local manufacturers open their doors to high school students, and with manufacturing networking events that discuss how to improve manufacturing operations,” says Lindros. “We need to raise awareness of the value that manufacturing brings to our community, and to encourage students to consider manufacturing as a career pathway. The WDB is a key facilitator in helping to develop the relevant and ready workforce we need for Ventura County to compete.”
