• DA Seeks To Try Morgan Hill Teen Murder Suspect as Adult (sanjoseinside.com) — A recent birthday party shooting in Morgan Hill that killed one person and injured six others has led prosecutors to seek trying the 17-year-old Salinas suspect as an adult. Investigators credit tips, photos and videos from community members and a federal reward with helping identify the teen, and the case is now moving forward in Santa Clara County Juvenile Justice Court. 
• Morgan Hill author's book explores consciousness, quantum theory, faith (morganhilltimes.com) — Morgan Hill author Alie Saad has released "Soul Catcher," a novel that blends neuroscience, quantum theory and faith as a scientist searches for ways to reach loved ones in a coma. Drawing on his own coma experience, Saad uses the story to question how medicine and regulation define consciousness, and he hopes the book will spark interdisciplinary research and appear in local bookstores.
