Santa Clara County sees challenges for 5-year homelessness plan (mv-voice.com) β Santa Clara County has adopted a new five-year homelessness plan that will include a North County strategy tailored to cities like Mountain View, where RV encampments are a major concern. Officials aim to house 15,000 more people by 2030, expand rental assistance, and require each region to submit its own plan while cities decide how to implement the county's broader goals.

4. With 'Social Reckoning,' Aaron Sorkin says he's done with Mark Zuckerberg. Maybe (sfchronicle.com) β Mountain View just hosted the first public screening of Aaron Sorkin's new film "The Social Reckoning" at the soon-to-close Cinemark Century Mountain View 16, drawing tech journalist Kara Swisher and some Meta employees. Sorkin used the event to reflect on Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's role in political misinformation and January 6, and to call for stronger laws to rein in fast-moving technologies like social media and AI.
