TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will stage the Broadway musical sensation “Come From Away”, helmed by TheatreWorks Founder/Artistic Director Emeritus Robert Kelley. Written by husband and wife duo David Hein and Irene Sankoff, “Come From Away” tells the remarkable true story of the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed 7,000 passengers from all over the world as flights were diverted during the aftermath of September 11, 2001. Featuring an infectious score, this heartwarming musical is a testament of the best aspects of human nature, as the citizens of tiny Gander, Newfoundland threw open their doors to stranded strangers and forged enduring friendships across cultural differences.

Meet the Artist Days: Sunday, May 3rd&nbsp;and Sunday, May 10th&nbsp;11am-5pmViewpoints Gallery is excited to present “The Ethereal Coast: A Study in Mist and Light,” a collection of breathtaking new landscapes by Bay Area artist Caroline McClinitic.&nbsp;This brilliant new series captures the shifting, atmospheric beauty of the California coastline, where the land meets the Pacific under a heavy veil of marine layer. The series moves away from high-contrast sunshine, focusing instead on the soft, diffused textures that define the region's more contemplative moods. Many pieces use texture medium and collage to mimic the tactile elements of the rugged coast. These breathtaking studies of light and air highlight Caroline’s captivating and unique style, which incorporates the organic grain of the wood panel base to perfectly capture the soft flow of wind, fog and water.&nbsp;
Caroline’s award-winning works capture the essence of the San Francisco Bay Area, from her elegant urban cityscapes to her soulful landscapes that perfectly capture the beauty of the Bay Area. “I love the ethereal&nbsp;beauty of the rugged California coast,” says Caroline. “I enjoy infusing paintings with textured layers, from the natural grain of the stained wood panel to the rough textures of rocks and foliage.” Caroline’s new collection masterfully captures the exquisite charm of the California coast’s fog shrouded summers, giving viewers a fresh perspective of some of the Bay Area’s most beloved vistas.

40th Year of Silicon Valley Open Studios
More than 370 visual artists will showcase their artwork at Silicon Valley Open Studios 2026, the 40th anniversary of SVOS. Meet our artists at 100 different studios and galleries in the Bay Area, and find out what inspires them. See their artwork in person and get the opportunity to purchase pieces directly from the artists.
This free event, one of the largest fine art shows open to the public in the San Francisco Bay Area, features painting, sculpture, jewelry, photography, woodworking, mixed media, pastels, pottery, metalwork, fabric arts, and more.&nbsp;

Coastal and Northern Peninsula Artists (Pacifica/Coast to San Carlos)
