'Everyday Cheese' Event with Author K. Ruby Blume in Mountain View
For cheese lovers, admirers and the cheese-curious ...

On Thursday, August 28th, author and urban homesteader K. Ruby Blume will present a talk and taste of everyday cheese at the Mountain View Public Library.
Blume will discuss techniques presented in her new book Everyday Cheesemaking: How to Succeed Making Dairy & Nut Cheese at Home (Microcosm Publishing 2014).
If you arethinking about trying your hand at cheesemaking (or if you just like cheese), you’ll enjoy this look at simpler cheeses which require little specialty equipment. These are “farmstead cheeses, that anyone can succeed at while holding a baby in one hand, stirring the milk with the other, organizing a party and texting with their feet.”
