'Give65' Fundraiser Kicks Off Monday For Seniors in Mtn. View, Los Altos

The drive is a 65-hour, online fundraiser!

MOUNTAIN VIEW and LOS ALTOS, CA -- The Community Service Agency, which serves seniors in Mountain View, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills, will participate in its first-ever GIVE65 Event, a 65-hour online giving event that begins at 10 p.m. Monday, July 11 continues through 4 p.m. July 14.

This virtual event is an initiative of the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation and the nation’s first and only crowd-fundraising platform focused exclusively on helping nonprofit organizations raise funds for programs and services benefiting seniors, according to organizers.

“GIVE65 is an innovative way for our community to raise awareness and help our seniors tremendously, especially in this area, where seniors are often forgotten in the housing/rental crisis. At a time in their lives when they are most vulnerable many of our senior clients are being priced out of the apartments and affordable housing units,” said Tom Myers, CSA executive director.

“Every gift will go toward helping seniors at the local level in communities across the country,” said Roger Baumgart, executive director of the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation. “We’re pleased to partner with Community Services Agency for the inaugural GIVE65 Event, which we hope will engage the nation and shine a light on the need for financial support for senior-focused nonprofit programs and services. Our goal is
to enhance the quality of life for seniors around the country, especially those who are most in need of our help.”
