Mtn. View Bicyclists: Can You Cycle Faster Than A Bike Courier?

Join the "Courier Challenge," presented by Mountain View Public Library and Cowgirl Bike Courier

From Emily Weak:

Can you beat a bike courier? The Mountain View Library is challenging patrons to do just that in this celebration of Bike to Shop day.

On Saturday, May 23rd, the library will invite cyclists to see if they can complete a delivery manifest faster than an expert bike messenger from Cowgirl Bike Courier. The library will hand out a top secret list of stops, and racers will have to make their own route, stopping at each location to take a selfie. Mountain View residents will have the home field advantage against the professional, but it’s uncertain who will have the top time in this alley cat style race.

Cyclists who prefer a slower ride are welcome to join the no-rider-left behind group, which will complete stops for fun rather than glory.

Cowgirl Bike Courier is a professional bike messenger service based out of San Jose, CA, founded in the Summer of 2014. Born in the heart of Silicon Valley, Cowgirl Bike Courier services reach from San Jose to Palo Alto, promoting green sustainability and empowering women through cycling.
