MV's Darrell Bennett Honored as Los Gatos Biz Person of the Year

When people think of Mountain View, they think of Castro Street and its wonderful restaurants. That's why it may come as no surprise that one of its residents knows a little bit more than most.

Darrell Bennett, general manager of the California Cafe in Los Gatos, received one of the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce's highest recognitions—Business Person of the Year.

The event, which took place at The Rinconada Country Club on Wednesday, also honored Darrell Monda as the Most Valuable Professional of the Year Award and Jeana Moore as the first ever Ambassador of the Year Award.

Another Mountain View connection: The 100-plus attendees enjoyed food from the Los Gatos restaurant Cin Cin—the sister restaurant of on the corner of Castro and California streets.
