• Mountain View cancels unveiling of bicentennial time capsule due to water damage (mv-voice.com) — Mountain View has canceled next month's planned public unveiling of its 1976 bicentennial time capsule after water and mold ruined most of the buried items at Pioneer Park. A smaller collection of salvaged artifacts, including a Moffett Field flag and commemorative coins, will instead go on temporary display at the Mountain View Public Library in September, offering a snapshot of the city 50 years ago.
