3 SW Riverside County Hospitals Accepting Supplies' Donations

Donations of supplies will help ensure the hospitals are prepared as the number of coronavirus cases rises.

SOUTHWEST RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Three Southwest Riverside County hospitals — Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, and Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula — are accepting donations of supplies due to potential shortages caused by coronavirus.

Workers at all three facilities currently have the gear they need to protect themselves and others as they care for patients with COVID-19, but the number of infected patients is expected to rise in the coming weeks, according to Merideth Allard, spokesperson for Temecula Valley Hospital, and Brian Connors, spokesperson for Southwest Healthcare System. Donations of supplies will help ensure the hospitals are prepared, they said.

The hospitals are accepting the following (they cannot accept anything that is not on this approved list):

• Masks - paper ear loop or tie in original carton (NOT cloth or hand-sewn); unopened N95 masks.

• Gloves, non-latex, all sizes in original carton

• Face shields and eye goggles

• Wipes, bleach, alcohol or hydrogen peroxide

• Bottles of household, unscented, splash-free bleach

• Hand sanitizers

• Head covers, disposable bouffant type with elastic band

• Shoe covers, disposable

• Safety googles

• Gowns, disposable water resistant cover gowns in original carton

• PAPRs (powered air-purifying respirators) and PAPR hoods.

For donations to Inland Valley or Ranch Springs medical centers, contact Ginny Ince at 951-696-6104 or email her at ginny.ince@uhsinc.com and she will make arrangements.

For donations to Temecula Valley Hospital, call 951-331-2536 and officials will make arrangements for delivery or pick-up.

"We thank the community’s support of our hospitals' efforts to fight the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak," Allard and Connors said.
