He remains jailed on $1 million bail as the court considers his punishment.
   

3. Expanding urgent care for the Murrieta community (llu.edu) — Murrieta residents will gain a new 24/7 advanced urgent care at 35100 Makena Ave. in spring 2027, expanding local options for non‑life‑threatening but urgent medical needs. Staffed by emergency‑trained clinicians and closely linked to LLUMC‑Murrieta, the center will offer on‑site diagnostics, fracture care, and treatment for infections and minor illnesses while helping keep the hospital ER clear for true emergencies.
   

4. Parolee Accused Of Gunning Down Temecula Woman To Be Arraigned Next Week (patch.com) — Murrieta residents should know that a parolee accused of fatally shooting a Temecula woman will be formally arraigned Oct. 16 at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta, where he faces a murder charge and related firearm counts. Authorities say he was arrested in Oxnard after investigators identified him as the suspect and he is being held on $3 million bail.
   

5. Cardinal Newman Girls Varsity Volleyball vs. West Ranch (maxpreps.com) — Murrieta volleyball fans will want to watch Vista Murrieta closely as the Broncos, now 11-11, prepare for a non-league matchup against West Ranch after recently defeating crosstown rival Murrieta Mesa 3-1. The article recaps West Ranch's sweep of Cardinal Newman while highlighting Vista Murrieta's recent form and upcoming contests.
