Did You Lose A Wedding Ring In Temecula? Murrieta Police Have It
Police announced Tuesday that if no one claims the property, it will be "disposed of."

MURRIETA, CA — If you recently lost a wedding ring in the Temecula Valley, Murrieta police may have it. Thanks to a Good Samaritan who turned it into the agency, police are keeping it safe until the rightful owner comes forward. But if no one claims it, it's destined to be "disposed of," police say.
Murrieta police said on Tuesday that the item was found "on or about" July 5. It's currently being held in the agency's evidence unit.
"Anyone with information regarding the wedding ring set or to claim, please contact Investigations Unit Secretary Joann Serven at 951-461-6327 to identify."
If it's yours, be prepared to provide an accurate description and proof of ownership. Police say they'll need a receipt, appraisal or other documentation to release ring.
"All unclaimed property will be disposed of November 9, 2017," a police post on Facebook stated.
