Duo Passes Out At Gas Station; Baggy Of Heroin: Murrieta PD Logs
Police also arrested a 15-year-old boy "...who decided it was a good idea to take his mom's car out for a spin."

MURRIETA, CA — Murrieta police recently began sharing weekly arrest highlights on social media, taking a unique, lighter approach to this crime "blotter." Through the use of a more conversational tone than normal and creative hashtags, the roundup does include some serious allegations.
This week, police highlighted several arrests including that of a person who allegedly dropped a bag of heroin from his hat and a person who was found with a replica firearm.

Thursday evening Officer Bradley responded to the AM/PM to check on the welfare of a male and female passed out in a car parked at a gas pump. We all know that driving while tired is just as bad as driving while intoxicated, so we do encourage you to pull over and rest when you need a #powernap. We do not, however, encourage you to use narcotics until you pass out. Officer Bradley arrested the driver, Ronald Schaeffer for the possession of a controlled substance and the violation of his probation. His passenger, Ariel Barazone was also arrested for the possession of paraphernalia. Both were booked into #CBDC. #justsayno
Early Friday morning an #observantcitizen called dispatch to report a suspicious vehicle across from his house. Officer Gannuscio responded and contacted eight people in two cars. During his investigation, Officer Gannuscio located prescription narcotics and a replica firearm in the possession of Salvador Farias. Salvador didn’t have a prescription for the narcotics and he couldn’t explain why he had an altered replica firearm either. #mystery Salvador spent the rest of the night in #thebyrdhouse.
Officer Gannuscio was busy over the weekend. Sunday morning he responded to the area of Murrieta Mesa High School to investigate a robbery. Before you worry, you need to remember that Officer Gannuscio works nights and that this robbery occurred at 3:30 a.m. The victim stated that he was on a walk near MMHS when he was approached by two males that brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s money and cell phone. #nothinggoodhappensaftermidnight While Officer Gannuscio was talking to the victim, Officer Huss began checking the area for the suspects. It didn’t take long before he found them at a nearby gas station.
Officer Huss contacted two adult males and three juvenile males in the vehicle that the victim described. The driver of the vehicle was a 15 year old male who decided it was a good idea to take his mom’s car out for a spin. #notagoodidea #momsgonnabemad The victim identified Elijah Shepherd and one of the juveniles as being involved with the robbery. When the officers searched the car, they found a replica handgun and the victim’s cell phone. #clue #idontknowhowthatgotthere The second adult male was identified as Jesse Line, who was on active parole and had a felony warrant for his arrest. After a long investigation, Elijah and the juvenile went to #CBDC for robbery. Jesse went to #CBDC for his felony warrant. Officer Baker was on #patrol Monday morning when he came across Jamie and Ryan Kubiak. The Kubiak’s are both on probation for fraud and the missus had a felony warrant. Jamie went to #CBDC and Ryan was sent on his way.
Officer Miller and his partner conducted a traffic stop Monday night on a single cab truck with four occupants. #notenoughseatbelts #itsnotaclowncarTwo of the subjects contacted by the officers were Ashley Boyd and Angel Dominguez. Mr. Dominguez was found to be on felony probation for the possession of a stolen vehicle. While conducting a search of Mr. Dominguez pursuant to his probation, a baggy of heroin fell from his hat. #notmyhat The officers also discovered that Ms. Boyd had an active felony warrant for her arrest for burglary. Mr. Dominguez and Ms. Boyd spent the night in #thebyrdhouse and the other two occupants of the vehicle were released at the scene.
