MURRIETA, CA — The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force and other law enforcement officers arrived en masse Friday morning to Murrieta's Copper Canyon neighborhood, neighbors told Patch.

An FBI spokesperson confirmed officers were at the scene but did not disclose further details as of this report.

The task force, the Department of Justice, and Riverside County Sheriff's Department all responded to the scene of a single-story home in the 23000 block of Joaquin Ridge Drive, just off Clinton Keith Road, around 6 a.m. The investigation was "court-authorized activity," said FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller. She released no further information.

As of 10 a.m., law enforcement with unmarked vehicles remained at the tract home. One car was marked K-9 unit. Officers searched the residence and its garage, taking items from the scene.

There were no neighborhood evacuations or police tape, and there appeared to be no search for any outstanding suspects.

According to a report from a neighbor, one man was seen in handcuffs shortly after the early morning raid. Eimiller would not comment on any possible arrests.

The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Forces investigates international and domestic terrorism. The task force is made up of U.S. law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

This is a developing report.
