Heat Advisory Issued For Murrieta By National Weather Service
High temperatures and muggy conditions prompted the National Weather Service to issue the advisory that begins Thursday.
MURRIETA, CA — Hot daytime conditions and above-average overnight temperatures will prevail in Murrieta starting Thursday, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a heat advisory for the area.
The advisory is in effect from noon Thursday until 8 p.m. Saturday across western Riverside County, southwestern San Bernardino County, as well as Orange and San Diego counties.
"Hot conditions will peak Thursday through Saturday — hottest conditions will be in the Inland Empire. Highs there will be in the upper 90s to 104 degrees," according to the NWS. "The combination of hot daytime conditions and above-average overnight temperatures in the 70s will increase the heat risk over the area."

Daytime high temperatures in Murrieta will soar to the upper 90s during the heat wave, and muggy conditions are forecast, according to the NWS.
Monsoonal moisture is expected to increase Thursday and peak on Saturday, according to the NWS. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is in Temecula's forecast during the heat wave, with chances increasing Friday and Saturday in the afternoons and evenings, although the likeliest places for wet weather are in the mountains and deserts, the NWS reported.
