High Wind, Flash Flood Warnings in Effect

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA – A high wind and flash flood warnings are in effect in Riverside County this morning as the third and most powerful in a series of three rain storms bears down on the region, the National Weather Service said.

The wind advisory will be in effect until at least noon on Monday with ups to 25 miles per hour or more. The Flash Flood Watch will be in effect until 10 p.m. on Monday.

Southeast winds of up to 20 mph are expected in the morning, increasing to up to 45 mph in the afternoon.

The rain is expected to be heavy at times, especially in the afternoon with more the an inch expected in some areas.

Of the three rain systems that have moved through the region this past week, Sunday's is expected to be the coldest and windiest, but not necessarily the wettest.

The precipitation is expected to continue Monday and may linger into Tuesday. Fair weather should return by midweek.
