Traffic Stop Leads To $100K Worth Of Marijuana: SWR

MENIFEE, CA — A 52-year-old man was arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop in Menifee that led to the discovery of more than 130 pounds of marijuana, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Salvador Cazares of Hemet was pulled over at 1:17 p.m. in the 27000 block of state Route 74. During the stop, deputies found the marijuana valued at over $100,000, according to the sheriff's department.

Cazares was arrested and booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center for possession and transportation of marijuana for sales.
