She teaches 2nd grade - and last year taught a 2, 3, combo class.
Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
She was just named Teacher of the Year for her school, and she really goes over and above.
This year, for Valentine's Day - she started in January sending out requests to all parents/ family and friends from around the world to send her class a Valentine. She got responses from all over the world as well as locally, and it was a learning experience for her children.
To teach her class fractions - she brought in pizza to show sections. She also provides all the supplies for those children who cannot afford to provide their own. She really loves what she does, and this shows in how much her students and parents respect her.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?
She is a very giving and caring teacher with new and innovative ideas to keep the children learning.
