Murrieta Woman Suspected In The Arbors At California Oaks Murder, 2nd Suspect Will Be Extradited, Police Say
A woman is behind bars awaiting her court appearance in the death of Aaron Parr inside his Murrieta apartment.

MURRIETA, CA — Homicide detectives have arrested two people on suspicion of killing a man inside his Murrieta apartment in mid-January, they announced Monday.
Ignacia Perkins, 40, of Murrieta, was placed under arrest on Jan. 29, and James Petri, thought to be an accomplice in the crime, was arrested in Birmingham, Alabama, and is awaiting extradition, according to Murrieta Police Capt. Jeremy Durant.
Perkins is currently being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center and is awaiting a Tuesday court date at the Riverside Hall of Justice. Both will be charged with multiple felonies, including Murder, Murder for Financial or other consideration, and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Murder.

Perkins was described as "the victim's ex-girlfriend," and Petri was described as "an acquaintance of Perkins," and faces numerous charges upon extradition to California.
On January 13, just after 9 a.m. Murrieta Police responded to The Arbors at California Oaks apartments, located at 24375 Jackson Avenue.

When they arrived, the body of Aaron Parr, 30, was found inside his Murrieta apartment.
"Based on preliminary information, the circumstances surrounding the death were investigated as a homicide," Durrant said. Murrieta Detectives gathered evidence and pursued all available leads to identify those responsible, according to a statement from the department.
"This investigation was driven by the exceptional dedication and persistence of Murrieta Police Department detectives, who devoted extensive time and effort to ensuring a thorough and successful outcome," Durrant said. "Their work was strengthened by the invaluable assistance of several partnering agencies, whose collaboration and shared commitment to public safety played a critical role in this investigation, including the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Birmingham Police Department, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation remains active, and additional information may be released as it becomes available. Due to the ongoing nature of the case, no further details will be provided at this time.
