Teen Girl Ejected In French Valley Crash Identified By Coroner
The 17-year-old girl was not wearing a seat belt, according to the California Highway Patrol.
FRENCH VALLEY, CA — A teen girl killed in a French Valley rollover crash over the weekend was identified Monday by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
Brianna Gonzalez, 17, of Winchester died in the wreck just before 1 p.m. Saturday on Auld Road, near Pourroy Road, according to the coroner.
The California Highway Patrol reported Gonzalez was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the Jeep Cherokee she was riding in. The Jeep driver, a 47-year-old Winchester woman, was buckled up and was treated for minor injuries at Wildomar's Inland Valley Medical Center, according to the CHP.

The woman was heading east on Auld at "an unknown speed" when at approximately 12:40 p.m. she crashed into a Buick Regal that was waiting to make a left turn onto eastbound Auld from southbound Pourroy, according to a preliminary CHP report.
The crash impact caused the Jeep to overturn several times, and Gonzalez was ejected onto a sidewalk, the CHP reported.

The Buick driver, a 21-year-old Moreno Valley man, was not injured, according to the CHP.
The crash cause remains under investigation by the CHP. No arrests were announced. The relationship between Gonzalez and the woman driving the Jeep was not released by authorities.
CHP Officer Mike Lassig reminded motorists to buckle up.
"Seatbelts can prevent injuries and save lives when involved in a traffic collision," he said.
The Auld-Pourroy intersection was closed Saturday while the CHP conducted its investigation into the crash.
