Two ID'd In Murrieta Murder-Suicide
Murrieta police said the man and woman were found shot dead following a missing person and suspicious circumstances investigation.

MURRIETA, CA – Coroner's officials have publicly identified two people who were found shot to death in a Murrieta home last month in a suspected murder-suicide.
Both a man and a woman were discovered in the home on Moonbrook Lane on March 24, after police said they were directed to the residence during a missing person and suspicious circumstances investigation. It was was called to the local police and sheriff's departments' attention by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, according Murrieta police Lt. Ron Driscoll.
Once the investigation led authorities to the address, they apparently noted some odd and suspicious circumstances "...that raised concern for the well-being of the occupants," the lieutenant said.

Investigators obtained a warrant, entered the home and found the duo shot dead.
Both 53-year-old Michael McMillian and 51-year-old Heidi Herckt were identified in the deadly incident by the Riverside County coroner's department. They were both residents of Murrieta, but it was not immediately clear if they lived at the Moonbrook Lane address.

Officials did not say who shot who in the incident.
