Vista Murrieta Students Win Rotary Speech Contest

Mark Bosch, a senior at Vista Murrieta, wins Rotary Club of Murrieta's annual 4-Way Test speech contest for the second year in a row.

Ten students from the Murrieta Valley Unified School District competed in the Rotary Club of Murrieta's annual 4-Way Test speech contest last week, with Vista Murrieta students taking all three top spots.

Vista Murrieta High School senior Mark Bosch won the contest for the second year in a row and will now move on to a district level competition, the Rotary said in a news release.

Mark did well on the speech circuit last year, winning several local speech contest for students conducted by various groups, the news release stated.

Mark received a $500 cash prize for his talk expounding on the four tenants of Rotary's personal and business ethics statement that's centered on truthfulness, fairness, building goodwill and doing what's beneficial to others.

Ian Fetters won second place and a $250 prize; and Matt Richardson took home the $100 third place title.

The contest was held in the governing board room of the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.
