3 Arrested In 'Avoid The 9' In Napa County
The DUI-enforcement operation was held over the weekend.

News from the Napa Police Department:
NAPA, CA – Napa County Law Enforcement Officers were out in force on Dec. 19, looking for DUI drivers as part of the Winter Mobilization Holiday Campaign.
Officers from the Napa Police Department were participating in the AVOID the 9 which is a grant funded by OTS. There were six officers that worked this operation from 6:00 PM-2:00 AM, resulting in 63 vehicle stops in the various cities and unincorporated areas in the County of Napa.

During these vehicle stops, officers noticed seven of the drivers displayed symptoms of alcohol or drug use. The seven drivers were evaluated and three of them were arrested for DUI related violations.

Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
