5-Year-Old Dies In Vallejo House Fire
A child died and two people were hospitalized after a two-alarm fire burned a Vallejo home Sunday morning.

VALLEJO - A child died and two people were hospitalized after a two-alarm fire burned a Vallejo home Sunday morning.
The fire was first reported at 9:53 a.m. at 827 Stella St., according to Vallejo fire officials.
While en route, firefighters received reports of heavy smoke and possibly one person trapped inside the home, fire officials said.

Upon arrival, firefighters learned neighbors had attempted to rescue the victim trapped inside the home, but were unsuccessful, according to officials.
Firefighters called a second alarm for the fire and attempted to locate the victim inside, fire officials said.

The victim was reportedly a 5-year-old child. The child was confirmed dead, according to fire officials.
Additionally, a woman suffered second and third degree burns and a teen male suffered minor burns.
The two were taken to Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center, fire officials said.
SFGate is reporting the fire is considered suspicious, according to Kevin Brown, a spokesman for the Vallejo Fire Department.
