NAPA and YOLO COUNTIES, CA —Authorities lifted the last of mandatory evacuation orders for the County Fire, allowing residents along state Highway 16 in Napa and Yolo counties to return home as of 8 p.m. Monday. Caution is urged when driving within the perimeter of the wildfire, which was 90,288 acres and 80-percent contained Tuesday morning, officials with Cal Fire's Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit said in a news release.
Road closures still in effect Tuesday morning included Berryessa Knoxville Road from the Pope Creek Bridge to the Napa/Lake County line; County Road 40 at state Highway 16; and all other roads within the fire’s perimeter.
More than 2,300 firefighting personnel are still assigned to the blaze that broke out June 30 in the Yolo County community of Guinda, destroying at least 20 homes and other structures and damaging another three.

"Unburned pockets of fuel continue to actively burn within the interior of the fire," Cal Fire officials said. "Higher temperatures, lower humidities and winds are expected to continue this week. Damage Inspection Teams continue to make progress surveying areas where fire activity has diminished. The number of damaged and destroyed structures reflected may change as teams continue to make progress."
Full containment of the fire is still expected by this Thursday.
