AMERICAN CANYON, CA - American Canyon police arrested a man who admitted to igniting fireworks from a drone, the American Canyon Police Department said in a news release.
On Friday at around 12:30 a.m., the ACPD received complaints of large booms possibly associated with illegal fireworks. The department said that it has received several similar complaints over the last few weeks.
Officers saw fireworks being ignited from a drone in the air, and followed it to the 600 block of Kilpatrick Street, where it landed. Wise admitted to igniting M-80 type explosive devices from the drone, a misdemeanor offense in Napa County, police said.
