NAPA VALLEY, CA — Saturday is Adopt-a-Pet Day. The Napa County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, and 140 other California shelters, are waiving fees on adoptable dogs, cats and rabbits — many spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. ASPCA grants cover the fees.

Napa Valley’s signature wine-and-philanthropy highlights include the annual barrel auction at the (newly re-designed) Robert Mondavi Winery, and a gala live auction. Proceeds support youth health and wellness programs throughout the valley. The Live Auction begins at 8 p.m. Saturday (donations are also accepted).
June 6

A Pride-themed disco celebration invites all ages onto the dance floor for an evening of music, color, and community spirit.
July 31
A festival celebrating V. Sattui's 50th anniversary with roasted wild boar, handmade pasta, music, dancing, and a lively outdoor feast.
