4. Shots fired near Napa's Memorial Stadium; no injuries reported (napavalleyregister.com) — Napa residents are learning that police are investigating gunshots fired Wednesday night near Memorial Stadium, where a vehicle was hit but no one was injured. Officers found bullet casings at the scene, and a video circulating on Facebook appears to show a shooter firing as others move away, though authorities have released few additional details so far.
5. St. Helena students can use school ID cards to access Napa County public library services (pressdemocrat.com) — St. Helena students will soon be able to use their school ID numbers as library cards at all Napa County Library branches and the St. Helena Public Library, greatly expanding free access to books and online resources.
