Police say a community tip led to an arrest last week. NPD is still looking to identify his two partners in crime, a lieutenant said.

NAPA, CA — With one suspect in the burglary of a Napa hotel arrested last week, authorities are still looking for the other two suspects, Napa police said in a news release. In the burglary reported at 5:51 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at a hotel in the 3800 block of Solano Avenue in Napa, three male suspects gained entry to an interior hallway at 5:25 a.m. and forced their way into one or more maintenance and storage rooms, Napa police Lt. Gary Pitkin said.
"Once in the storage rooms, the suspects reportedly stole over $1,000 in tools and cable boxes," Pitkin said.
The Napa Police Department shared surveillance images of the trio and their older white Chevy S-10 (or similar model) pickup truck on social media, and the American Canyon Police Department shared Napa PD's post, Pitkin said.

Shortly after 9 p.m. that night, American Canyon police and the Napa Special Investigations Bureau responded to the location and started conducting surveillance.
"A short time later the truck was seen leaving the area and stopped for a vehicle code violation," Pitkin said. "The driver, identified as Rick DeStefano, was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. When arrested and searched, he was found in possession of heroin."
When DeStefano was interviewed he admitted he was one of the men who burglarized the hotel, the lieutenant said.

DeStefano was booked into Napa County jail on suspicion of burglary and outstanding warrant for his arrest.
"NPD is still looking to identify and arrest DeStefano’s two partners in crime," Pitkin said. "If you know who they are please contact Detective G.Smith at 707-257-9375 or GSmith@cityofnapa.org."
