NAPA COUNTY, CA — Caltrans Bay Area began making preservations in late June to the Capell Creek Bridge on State Highway 121 —Monticello Road— between Circle Oaks Drive and Longhorn Ridge Road in Napa County.

The bridge work is expected to be completed by the end of October and consists of repairing cracks, road breaks, and replacing the northwest wing wall, Caltrans Spokesperson Pedro Quintana said.

Depending on the stage of construction, crews will shift traffic for both directions of travel into a single northbound or southbound lane, Quintana said.

Caltrans is using a one-way traffic signal system and temporary concrete barriers to guide traffic into one lane of travel in both directions during construction. One-way traffic control is expected to remain in effect throughout the duration of the project, Quintana said.

Bicycle traffic shares the main traffic lanes within the project limits.
