Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering in Yountville
Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering preserves the story telling style of the ranching tradition.
Classic and contemporary cowboy poetry and music is one of the great folk traditions of the United States. Entertainment was vital to keeping everyone’s spirits up while doing ranch work, and the tradition of sitting around a campfire and entertaining each other is vital to the human experience. Napa Valley Performing Arts Center hopes to encourage and preserve the history, heritage and values of the American ranching tradition through performance of classic cowboy standards. There are talented special guest performers coming from near and far to contribute their unique style of western wit, wisdom, satire, and song. The entertainers we bring are well known professionals in some of America’s most specialized and rarely seen forms of expression and entertainment.
Tickets are available at http://lincolntheater.org, or by phone at (707) 944-9900, or at the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater box office at 100 California Drive in Yountville, California. The box office is open between 11am and 3pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
